Your Speakers for March and April

Wednesday, March 9

We will host guest speaker Bill Halverson who was born on a farm near Sebeka, Minnesota. Bill received a Ph.D. from Princeton University, taught philosophy at Augsburg College, and became a dean at The Ohio State University. Bill is regarded in the U.S. and Norway as one of the world’s leading authorities on the life and work of Edvard Grieg. He has received many accolades for his work.

During his years at Ohio State, Bill became interested in Edvard Grieg, and at the suggestion of a Norwegian publishing house, he co-translated a biography of the great composer. Bill will be with us to speak about Sidelights on Edvard Grieg, The Man Behind the Music.

Wednesday, April 6

Our guest speaker will be Jessica Bartholomew, a retired police officer, who talks about human trafficking and what her group is trying to do to prevent it. Jessica Bartholomew is an engaging, passionate speaker who has 25 years of experience. She brings firsthand experience to the issues of child and teen sexual exploitation, abuse, and sex trafficking.

Come, have an amazing time with us at these Normandale Lutheran events.
