A Love for Outreach

Active Hands, Caring Hearts

At Normandale Lutheran Church, we put love into action by meeting the basic needs of hunger, housing, and health, both locally and around the world. In our walking together, gifts and talents are plentifully multiplied, relationships are wonderfully developed, and our lives are irreversibly transformed.

Local Partnerships

Normandale House

For more than 25 years, we have been walking with families experiencing housing instability. Located in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis, Normandale House creates affordable safe space and personal relationships for encouragement on the journey toward a more stable future.

Hunger Ministry

Working alongside Community Emergency Service (CES)Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), and Every Meal, we meet the challenge of hunger and food insecurity in our local communities. We also provide volunteers and financial support to Meals on Wheels.

To learn more or to volunteer, contact Pastor Rebecca Gamble.

Normandale Center for Healing and Wholeness

We support elders, their families, and their caregivers by providing resources, education, and care for healthy aging.

Sub-Saharan African Youth & Family Services in MN (SAYFSM)

We partner with SAYFSM in offering hope to African immigrants and refugees in need of culturally and linguistically appropriate HIV / AIDS education and social services.

Global Partnerships

Ranchi, India

As a mission partner with Northwest Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ranchi, India for the past 5 years, we bring congregationally-based, pastor-led health services to remote villages. Addiction counselor trainings and guidance have assisted families on the road to healing.

Huch’uy Runa School at Cusco, Peru

We join the Peruvian Lutheran Church (ILEP) in supporting Huch’uy Runa School for street children in Cusco, Peru, which provides education and housing to the children of the indigenous Quechua people.

ELCA World Hunger
