First Communion Workshop

October 10 | 10:40 – 11:20 am
Fellowship Hall

We believe that Christ’s invitation to the table during Holy Communion is indeed for all people. At Normandale Lutheran Church, we support your coming to Holy Communion by providing a Communion Instruction Workshop for any who are curious and want to learn more.

Each year, we extend a special invitation for this instructional workshop for all families with children in grades three, four, and five, but also welcome instruction for younger children and their families, as well as anybody who has never received instruction and wants to gain a deeper understanding of what happens during this sacrament.  Whether this is your child’s First Communion, or your child has communed for many years, this instruction is a time to find deep connection in this sacrament of the Christian Church.

We invite you to join us for this year’s workshop in preparation for your Communion recognition.

Communion Recognition will be Sunday October 17th during worship at 9:30 am.

Please keep in mind that choosing to begin Communion is a family decision. Jesus was clear that all people are beloved children of God, and that all are welcome at Christ’s table. Children and families should discuss together if the child is ready or desires to wait.  Intentional family conversation is an important part of this decision.

Please complete the registration form here no later than October 3.
