Back-to-School Drive

Help a Student Start the School Year with Confidence!

A new school year is just around the corner, and many students in our community need a little extra support to begin the year feeling prepared and confident. This summer, Normandale is partnering with Normandale Housing Corporation (NHC), Sub Saharan African Youth and Family Services of Minnesota (SAYFSM), and the Asylum Coalition for Transition – Twin Cities (ACT-TC) to provide backpacks, school supplies, and shoes for local students.

There are three meaningful ways you can help:

• Sponsor a Student

Choose one or more students to support by purchasing the school supplies on their personalized wish list and/or providing a gift card for new shoes. Sign up online (form coming soon!) or visit the Back-to-School table in the Fireside Room between July 19 and August 9.

• Give Financially

Make a one-time gift to help purchase supplies for students who still have unmet needs. Beginning July 19, give online by selecting the Back to School Fund in the giving portal.

• Donate School Supplies

Purchase new school supplies and drop them off at the collection area at Church throughout the drive.

Every backpack, every gift card, and every donation helps a student begin the school year knowing their community believes in them. Thank you for helping students start the year equipped, encouraged, and ready to learn.
