Our Welcome Statement

There’s something for all ages this summer: Vacation Bible School, Summer Stretch Day Camp, Camp Vermilion Trip and Wilderness Canoe Base Camping Trip! June 18 – 20 | 4 to 9 pm
6th – 8th grade
Price: $150/ camper
“Mystery Bus” Camp for kids who have completed 6th-8th grade! We will meet at Normandale Lutheran Church each day and go to a surprise service location in the afternoon, and a surprise FUN location for the evening. Join us for this exciting week of service & play!
July 21-26 in Cook, MN
3rd – 8th grade
Price: $625/camper ($540 before March 1)

Spend a week with us in God’s Great Northwoods in Cook, MN. Camp will be July 21-26 overnights for kids who have completed 3th – 8th grade. We will ride a bus together to and from camp. At Camp Vermilion we swim, craft, play field games, eat yummy food, sing around the bonfire, roast smores, paddle, run, learn in Bible Study, and enjoy treats at the Canteen. This is a week you don’t want to miss! Register below.
August 3 – 8 in Grand Marais, MN
8th – 12th grade
Price: $700/camper

Join us for a weeklong getaway at Wilderness Canoe Base in Grand Marias, Minnesota, situated on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. WCB specializes in guiding experiences in this Wilderness in tandem with exploring God’s word and world. We will meet a guide and sleep in cabins at the camp while learning camping skills and then we will adventure into the Beautiful Boundary Waters for a few nights of camping. It will be a week of a lifetime: swimming, canoeing, learning camping skills, cooking over a fire, teamwork, hiking, deepening friendships, making new NLC friends, and learning what it means to live and love as God’s people in the world.

Confirmation at Normandale or “IGNITE” invites our whole congregation to journey with seventh and eighth graders as they explore their faith. IGNITE is a space to wrestle and wonder about the Gospel, the Christian Story, and how we can live in the world grounded by God’s baptismal promise to us and the whole world.

This is a place where high school youth from Normandale grow in relationship to God and others. This is a community where you can both bring existing friends and make new ones. This is a place that values the unique gifts, talents, vitality and passion that kids bring. ALL are welcome to join in learning, loving, serving, and worshiping.

We are known for our vibrant music programs and have several great options. Youth are invited to join our Youth Choir on Wednesdays from 5:40-6:20pm.
