Tapestry of Fire: A World Premiere

Recital of sacred organ and choral music featuring Dr. Gregory Peterson and the Normandale Chamber Choir and friends.

Featuring the world premiere of the commission of a multi-movement organ sonata in honor of Gregory by internationally renowned Twin Cities composer Libby Larsen, who will be in attendance.

Greg will play a program – a carefully woven tapestry itself – of organ music by Jehan Alain, J.S. Bach, Undine Smith Moore, Max Reger, Fela Sewande, and of course, Libby Larsen (including the new piece and a movement from her 1990 suite “Aspects of Glory”).

The program will also include choral and organ pieces by Gerre Hancock and Libby Larsen sung by the Normandale Chamber Choir along with a hymn for all to sing: “Come to Us, Creative Spirit.”
