Normandale Housing
What is Normandale Housing?
For more than 25 years Normandale Lutheran has been walking with families in the Phillip’s neighborhood of Minneapolis to help move them from living without a home to living in community-supported, permanent housing.
Our Mission
In response to God’s calling, Normandale Housing Corporation engages the congregation of Normandale Lutheran Church and others in serving families experiencing homelessness by providing housing and supportive services.
Our Work Together
Realizing it can take time for a family to recover and move ahead, Normandale Housing Ministry reaches out to volunteers and its alumni to provide mentorship for families and support from the community. Our focus is to make a significant impact on the Phillips neighborhood by providing stability for families and improving acceptance and understanding for individuals who have encountered this level of crisis.
Together, we can reduce homelessness – one family at a time.

Hello Normandale Beloved Friends,
Leaving a message for I think is Jennifer Mulsof? who coordinates the Reading Buddies Dinners. Doug and I dropped off a meal for 25 yesterday of chili, fixins, cuties and brownies. We have been committed to do this for a few years ( cooking is my thing) but never hear back on how it went. Enough food? did they like it? I did send her a message a week ago asking if there were any allergies but never heard back. I don’t want any accolades or thank yous but a follow up would be nice that all went fine. When there, I ran into so many loved ones attending Carolyn Anderson’s funeral that I had not connected with in forever! God is good! And hoped to see Pastor Ian to thank him for doing a blessed job marrying Lauren and Alex, Dec. 28th
Peace
Jane Anderson
Good afternoon, Jane! I received this back from someone who attended Reading Buddies on Monday evening: “The food was delicious! It was well received… I saw several kids go back for seconds. We had plenty; enough for everyone plus four containers of leftovers for the families.”
We reached out to Jennifer Musolf and she indicated she would respond via email as we as to Pastor Ian for your note on Lauren and Alex’s wedding! He mentioned that he was proud to be a part of such a special day for them and all of their loved ones. Last but not least, we all grieve alongside you around the loss of Carolyn. Blessed be her memory.
We are so very fortunate to have you as a part of our community, Jane! As you say: God is good, indeed! Grace and peace to you.
