About Dr. Kaela Joseph
Dr. Kaela Joseph obtained a Ph.D. from Palo Alto University in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in LGBTQ psychology. Dr. Joseph works for the San Francisco VA (SFVA) as a Staff Psychologist, Women Veterans Program Manager, and Director of the Trans Health Clinic. At the SFVA, she additionally provides clinical supervision in the LGBTQ and Substance Use Disorders Externship. She also provides clinical supervision at Palo Alto University’s Gronowski Clinic. Prior to licensure, Dr. Joseph trained for 2 1/2 years in a methadone clinic where she provided individual and group therapies. She also previously taught courses on the assessment and treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
