Youth Choir Tour | Go Tell it on the Mountains!

June 11-21

Go Tell it on the Mountains! The Normandale Youth Choir will be traveling west to Washington State, June 11-21. Plans are in being finalized with stops in Billings, MT, Coeur d’Alene, ID, Wenatchee, Leavenworth, and Moses Lake, WA, and several more stops on the way home. The final concert will be in Sioux Falls, SD, before returning for a Home Concert, Sunday afternoon, June 21.

Registration and a $150 deposit are due on or before February 15, 2020. Full payment will be due May 1, 2020. 

Who: All members of NLC Youth Choir
When: June 11-21
Where: Washington State & other fun stops along the way

Summer Stretch After Dark

July 6-8  |  4:00 pm - 9:00 pm*

It's all good! Join us for a three-day NIGHT CAMP for older youth finishing grades 7-9! Youth will meet at church for outdoor worship, a service project helping the community, dinner, and then will head out for a mystery evening activity! A Twins game? Glow-in-the-Dark night games? Wilderness Canoe Base & the Boundary Waters

July 10-17

NLC Youth and Youth Alumni (those who have participated in HSHO in the last four years) will be returning to Wilderness Canoe base for another week of adventure in the beautiful Boundary Waters Canoe Area this summer! Our 19-22 year old group will be attending during the same week as our high school trip but doing separate activities and will go out on trail separately. This trip offers an unmatched experience in one of the most unique wilderness areas in the entire world and a treasure of Minnesota. It will feature two nights and days spent in service and fun in and around Wilderness Canoe Base followed by four days and nights camping and canoeing in the BWCA and one last night back at WCB.

Who:    All students completing 9th-12th grade AND NLC Youth alumni ages 19-22
When:  July 10-17
Where: Wilderness Canoe Base & Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Cost:  $520. We never want cost to be a deterrent for families. Partial/full scholarships are always available, along with youth savings accounts and individual youth fundraisers.

Camp Vermilion: All-Normandale Youth Camp

August 2-7 | Camp Vermilion, Cook, MN

NLC kids and youth graduating from grades 3-12! We are going back to Camp Vermilion in Cook, Minnesota for a one-of-a-kind, specially tailored week of camp in God’s Great Northwoods just for Normandale kids, youth and friends!

Camp Vermilion is a beautiful camp on Lake Vermilion four hours north of the Cities. It will be a week of a lifetime: canoeing, learning camping skills, cooking over a fire, teamwork, deepening friendships and making new NLC friends, being silly, laughing, and learning what it means to live and love as God’s people in the world.

Camp Vermilion (of Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry) carefully selects their staff in order to provide the best experience possible for each camper, including yummy meals for hungry campers. Everything VLM does is to help kids see it truly is great to be alive in God's Great Northwoods!

We’ll offer camp programs for:

Camp Vermilion 2019Seekers: Completed grades 3 & 4
Trekkers: Completed grades 5 & 6
Explorers: Completed grades 7&8
Junior Counselors*: Completed grades 9-12
*Applications and a counselor training session are prerequisites for being a Jr. Counselor.
