Bikes, Bites, & Belonging: Normandale Bike Club Summer 2026 Series
The Normandale Bike Club has one last ride of the season planned:
-Monday, September 7 (Labor Day):
We will drive our respective vehicles to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, Minn. (about 35-40 minutes drive time from Normandale Lutheran). St. Andrew’s has graciously granted us permission to use their upper parking lot as a meeting point. MEET AT 10:00AM!
There are frontage roads that allow us to avoid riding on the highway, and it’s less than a mile to the excellent, paved Gateway and Brown’s Creek Trails (lots of woods and shade). The total ride from St. Andrew’s to Stillwater is 8.5 miles and it’s almost all downhill.
We should arrive in plenty of time for a 1:00 p.m. lunch in Stillwater, overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River. The ride back may be a bit more strenuous, but it’s converted rail bed, so the grade is not at all steep. If there are those who wish to extend their ride into Wisconsin, they may choose that option.
