ABLAZE Summer Youth Group
Wednesdays, June 13-27; July 11-25; August 1 & 15 | 7:15 - 8:00 pm | Graduating 6th-12th Graders

Songs, Scripture & S'mores around the campfire following Wednesday evening worships from 7:15-8:00 pm. ABLAZE will feature the Youth Band Squad and will take place on weeks where there are no summer trips.

Summer Stretch | July 10-12 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Who: Kids who have completed 5th grade - completed 7th grade
What: 3 days of worship, games, service, and adventure!
When: July 10-12 | 9:00am - 3:00pm
We’ll spend each morning at NLC worshiping, playing games, and doing a service project for the community. After lunch we’ll take a bus to a MYSTERY location for a fun afternoon! A water park? The MN Zoo? Valleyfair? An IMAX movie? Rock Climbing? You’ll have to experience it to find out! Questions? Wilderness Canoe Base & the Boundary Waters | July 23-29
We are headed back to the Boundary Waters! This trip offers an unmatched experience in one of the most unique wilderness areas in the entire world and a treasure of Minnesota. It will feature 1-2 nights and days spent in service and fun in and around Wilderness Canoe Base, followed by 3-4 days and nights camping and canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). It will be a wonderful adventure in God's creation which you will not soon forget!
Who: All students completing 9th-12th grade
When: July 23-29
Where: Wilderness Canoe Base & Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Cost: $425, includes transportation, lodging, food, gear rental, and guides
($150 due at registration)

NEW! Camp Vermillion: All-Normandale Youth Camp | Aug 5-10
We are so excited to announce that NLC kids and youth graduating from grades 3-12 have the opportunity to attend our NEW CAMP EXPERIENCE at Camp Vermilion in Cook, Minnesota at a one-of-a-kind, specially tailored week of camp in God’s Great Northwoods just for Normandale kids, youth and friends!
Camp Vermilion is a beautiful camp on Lake Vermilion four hours north of the Cities. It will be a week of a lifetime: canoeing, learning camping skills, cooking over a fire, teamwork, deepening friendships and making new NLC friends, being silly, laughing, and learning what it means to live and love as God’s people in the world.
Camp Vermilion (of Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry) carefully selects their staff in order to provide the best experience possible for each camper, including yummy meals for hungry campers. Everything VLM does is to help kids see it truly is great to be alive in God's Great Northwoods!
We’ll offer camp programs for:
Seekers: Completed grades 3 & 4
Trekkers: Completed grades 5 & 6
Explorers: Completed grades 7 & 8
Junior Counselors*: Completed grades 9-12
*Applications and a counselor training session are prerequisites for being a Jr. Counselor.
Who: All students completing 3rd - 12th grade
When: Aug 5-10

Cost: $100/Jr. Counselor!
